A few days ago, a 55-year-old male patient, a farmer by occupation, came to my clinic with complaints of multiple swellings over the scrotal skin for the past 5 years, which were gradually increasing in size. One month before, the patient started noting ulceration over these swellings.
The patient underwent surgical excision with primary closure of the same.
The post-operative period was uneventful, and he was discharged on the second post-operative day (POD 2).
Biopsy report came out be a rare condition known as CUTANEOUS CUTIS, which is a begin and non-cancerous lesion.
So what makes me write this article is that as we say there is so much progress, prosperity, and development in society but still as clinicians we come across such patients who have been suffering but did not consult a physician for the management of the disease either because of ignorance, illiteracy, and shame. A lot of work towards health awareness has to be done either at an individual level by clinicians or by the government and society as a whole.
